In the last few months, a large team of Google employees have been working on a top secret project: the next-generation architecture and algorythm for Google's new web search. It is Googles first step in the process to try and rival Bing with increased indexing speed, better accuracy and a more comprehensive set of search results. The new infrastructure sits "under the hood" of Google's search engine, which means that most users won't notice much of a difference in search results right now.
