Domain ext sale now on.. Only £120,000!
Applications for new top-level domains in a massive change to the domain extension system are available from this Thursday. It is now possible to register almost any word as a web address extension/suffix.
Familiar extensions such as .com, .net and .org can now be joined by the likes of .cocacola, .virgin or .itv.
The change is controversial but ICANN, the organisation which regulates domain extensions, says the change will increase choice and competition.
Despite the cost (approximately £120k) there are already more than 100 applications in the pipeline. Mostly from Global Brands, but also for geographical locations.
Should you be interested in securing your very own domain extension, don't hesitate to contact us at Brickweb, we are ICANN and Nominet Members and will advise and process your application.
